We find out more about the Break 50 Challenge and take a look back at GMS Law’s most recent fundraising party

Break Charity turns 50 this year and to celebrate the anniversary, the Norfolk charity is  asking fundraisers to carry out a challenge with a ‘50’ theme. From running 50 miles to walking 1 mile a day for 50 days, or even baking 50 cupcakes – they’d love to hear about any fundraising ideas relating to the big 5 0.

We’re already feeling inspired by the challenges we’ve heard of so far. Jackson Williams of Tower Fitness will be taking on the momentous – and possibly insane – challenge to run 50 miles a day for 50 days across Australia. While Break’s very own Head of Service Delivery for Care, Cathy Kenney, has taken on 50 challenges to complete by the end of 2018. Read more about Cathy here: catherinesbreak50.wordpress.com

Festive fundraising

Back in December 2017, we hosted our annual charity Christmas party. The theme was ‘a night at the races’. Excited party goers placed bets on historical horse races in the hope that they would be one of the night’s top five winners to win a prize. If you haven’t checked out the pictures from the night yet, head over to our Facebook page

It wouldn’t have been Christmas without a raffle to win a festive hamper, and we would like to thank all of the people who donated by buying a square before the raffle was drawn on the big night.

Safe to say that alongside the tasty hog roast – courtesy of The George Hotel in Dereham – nibbles, plenty of drinks and laughter, we all had a great evening. All the money raised was donated to Break Charity, who were there to help us out on the night. We were overwhelmed with the turnout and support received and would like to thank all of you who attended.
